Major NIA Crackdown: Raids Across Karnataka and Maharashtra Bust ISIS Terror Plot
Bengaluru, December 9: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 44 locations including one location in Karnataka and Maharashtra on Saturday morning in connection with an ISIS terror plot case.
Sources said, NIA officials conducted searches at 1 location in Karnataka, 2 locations in Pune, 31 locations in Thane rural, 9 locations in Thane city, and 1 location in Bhayandar.
So far, 13 suspected terrorists have been arrested by NIA officials in the ISIS terror plot case, said a source.
The raids were conducted based on intelligence inputs that a group of ISIS terrorists was planning to carry out a major terror attack in India. The alleged terrorists were allegedly planning to target key government installations and public places. The NIA is interrogating the arrested alleged terrorists to gather more information about the plot.
